Petition to the Fort Wayne City Council

Dear Fort Wayne City Council:

We, the undersigned residents and concerned citizens, call on the Fort Wayne City Council to immediately cancel the City's contract with Flock Safety and adopt an ordinance prohibiting the use of Flock cameras and similar automated license plate reader surveillance systems within the City of Fort Wayne.

Flock cameras create a surveillance blanket that tracks the movements of people who have not been convicted of any crime. These cameras do not simply watch for criminals. They collect, store, and share location data on everyday residents driving to work, church, school, medical appointments, political meetings, private homes, and community events.

This level of mass surveillance is dangerous, invasive, and incompatible with the constitutional rights of Hoosiers.

Fort Wayne residents should not be treated like convicted criminals simply because they drive on public roads. The City should not normalize a surveillance system that can be expanded, abused, hacked, shared with outside agencies, or used to chill lawful activity.

We demand that the Fort Wayne City Council:

1. Cancel the City's current Flock Safety contract.
2. Reject any future contract or expansion involving Flock cameras or similar automated license plate reader systems.
3. Pass an ordinance prohibiting the installation, use, purchase, or data-sharing of Flock cameras and similar surveillance technology within city limits.
4. Require full public disclosure of any existing surveillance agreements, data-sharing practices, retention policies, and outside agency access.

Fort Wayne does not need to become a surveillance city.

We demand the City Council protect the privacy, liberty, and constitutional rights of the people they serve.

Petition to the Allen County Commissioners

Dear Allen County Commissioners,

We the undersigned residents of Allen County demand you prohibit Flock cameras and similar automated license plate reader surveillance systems in Allen County.

It is your duty to protect the rights of Allen County residents from mass surveillance, data collection, and government overreach.

We call on you to pass an ordinance prohibiting funding, installation, or participation in any Flock camera network.

We urge the Allen County Commissioners to act now and keep Allen County free from automated surveillance.
